Another Ash single wings it's way into the shops and once again it's a disappointing one.

'Envy' is the bands first single since the 'Free All Angels' batch (shining light, burn baby burn, etc..) and shows that the band are in top form, with the possibility of new material being just around the corner.

Musically the single is excellent with a fleetwood mac~esque intro that shows that the pop-punk group are capable of more than just thrashing a few power-chords for three minutes and are venturing into new musical territory with every release. The rest of the song is very typically ash, however more remeniscent of the heavier 'Nu-Clear Sounds' than the last few releases. With catchy hooks aplenty and melodic sensibility that would make Kurt Cobain envious this is sure to be both a radio smash and a hit with...  Read full review »
