Make the Next ASH Video

To celebrate Ash Wednesday this week, the band are offering A-Z Series Subscribers the unique chance to make an official Ash music video.

So far Ash have given subscribers two bonus tracks, Lay Down Your Arms and Gallows Hill. Now these tracks need videos! Your video can be for either track and feature any footage, anything goes, as long as you don't break any copyright laws!

To enter this competition simply upload your effort to a video streaming site (e.g. YouTube) and send the link to ashcomps@ash-official.com before midnight Tuesday 2nd March 2010. The band will then pick the winners!

Also if you subscribe to the A-Z Series before midnight Thursday 25th February 2010 you'll receive an exclusive bonus track, Night Terrors. Night Terrors is the 3rd free and exclusive bonus track to be given away to Ash's A-Z series subscribers.

Lyrically Night Terrors' tongue-in-cheek humoir starkly contrasts an angry tale of wished comeuppance upon a despicable individual. This song is for anyone who's known a loved one to have been royally fucked over, to the degree that you'd like to see the guilty party suffer eternally in the grip of their own diabolical insanity.

Musically this dark and menacing memorial merges spiky new-wave punk guitars with uptempo disco beats, overdriven synthesizers and a chorus hook that would kick Dr. Who into a parallel universe.

The A-Z Series is a collection of 26 singles released over the course of a year commencing with 'A' True Love 1980 on Monday 12th October 2009 and running through the alphabet, with a new A-Z Series single being released every 2 weeks, through Ash's own Atomic Heart Records label, until the final single 'Z' on Monday 27th September 2010.
