As a self-proclaimed huge Foo Fighters fan, I felt impelled to
write a review that would do 'My Hero' justice. I have read other
reviews here and quite frankly I don't understand how some
"reviewers" lack the ability to recognise a great rock song when
they hear it. Granted, opinions differ amongst music lovers with
regards to many forms of music, but amongst true Foo Fighters fans
this song consistently remains a favourite, and rightly so.
From the beginning of the track the mood is upbeat. The pedestrian
rhythm and the comparatively mellow sound of Dave Grohl during the
verses soon erupts into a compelling and emotive chorus. "There
goes my hero, Watch him as he goes/There goes my hero, He's

I really have no idea what planet the people are from that wrote the other reviews here. My hero is quite simply one of the greatest foofighters tracks there is. you only have to be at one of their gigs and hear the deafening noise that erupts when people hear the first chords of this track. ask any foo fan for a top 5 and you can put money on it... Right, well if u are familiar with the foo fighters then u will pretty much be bemused when first listening to this track, its not the usual sort of fast, witty rock that you will be used to, infact it is quite the opposite, it is slow, rather repetitive ,and requires careful listening, it is a cover version of a "killing joke...
