Foo Fighters to Headline Isle Of Wight Festival!

Yes, it's true! Foo Fighters will headline the Isle Of Wight Festival on June 10th! Tickets are on sale right now for the 3-day long festival which runs June 9th, 10th and 11th. Go here for more info: www.isleofwightfestival.com

'No Way Back/Cold Day In The Sun' - March 13th

Following their ten year anniversary last year and arguably their most successful yet - both sides of the Atlantic - including their year end shows at London's Earls Court and show-stealing headline performances at T-in-the-Park and Reading / Leeds last summer, Foo Fighters see in 2006 with a new double A sided single.

A first for the band in as far as it's their first AA single, it features two tracks lifted from last year's double platinum selling, one from the 'rock' based first side of the album hand in hand with one from the 'mellower' side which features a new vocalist... (okay the game's up, you all KNOW it's the very cool Taylor Hawkins!) Tracklisting:

1. No Way Back
2. Cold Day In The Sun
3. Best Of You (live)

Those lucky enough to have been in attendance at the band's December shows last year will have witnessed Taylor swapping his sticks for guitar and vocals on 'Cold Day In The Sun' and Dave Grohl residing on drums and portrays the band's lighter rock side not unlike The Replacements and a highlight of side two of 'In Your Honour'. Meanwhile 'No Way Back' resumes normal business and embarks on another slice of pure Foos 'rock' brilliance or as one scribe was moved to observe... "this is impressive stuff - the sound of a muse regained."

Tour Dates

Well for those of you who haven't got your Hyde Park tickets (Saturday 16th June) - here is the bad news: IT'S COMPLETELY SOLD OUT! But GOOD NEWS, as you may already be aware, there is another date - what's more it's North of Watford! Great support acts too - in the form of The Strokes, Angels & Airwaves, The Subways. Sunday 18th June at Lancashire CCC, Old Trafford, Manchester.
