Empire arrives

Empire single

DVD and 10" vinyl formats came out this week (August 21st); also now available are live versions from T4 and Brixton. If you already have a PIN code because you bought the Brixton version by SMS, collect your track here.

The vinyl comes in a 60x40 posterbag, and has the Jagz Kooner mix of Empire on the b-side, while the DVD includes new track Ketang and a mini-documentary video.

Empire album

Released Monday August 28th, and you should be getting to know it well by now. More or less your last chance to take up the pre-order offers - set of playing cards from HMV and 3 bonus live tracks and video content from iTunes.

Reviews are coming in thick and fast- 9/10 in current NME, 4/6 in Time Out (who marks out of 6?), and 9/10 in Zoo.

Sessions

Kasabian recorded an acoustic session for Gideon Coe's BBC 6Music show, which aired on Tuesday this week. It will be archived online, here.

The band's MTV session, which was recorded at the beginning of August, gets its first airing on MTV this Saturday (August 26th), at 7pm. The show will be repeated across MTV and MTV2, and will also be online at the MTV Overdrive from Sunday 27th.
