Empire Is On

The title track and lead single from Kasabian's new album Empire goes onsale tonight, after Zane Lowe plays the track on his Radio 1 show around 7.30pm. Check in with your preferred download service, or hit the shops if your local is still open. If you pre-ordered the download, you will be able to redeem your PIN code from 7.30pm.

The video will be shown first on Channel 4 tonight at 11.20pm; following that, you'll be able to watch it in full on the player at www.kasabian.co.uk, and MTV will be showing it on the hour, every hour, from midnight through to 5am in the morning.

MTV Gig

On August 3rd Kasabian will play a secret show for MTV in London. You could be there. To enter to win tickets to the show, which will be filmed for MTV's Overdrive show, you need to go to www.mtv.co.uk/kasabian.

Kasabian.co.uk relaunched over a week ago. Membership (the 'Empire' section) allows you to comment on news stories, register attendance for gigs and post gig reviews. At least.

Empire album

Release date for the album has come forwards a week, to August 28th. Apologies if this causes problems with the colour-coded countdown calendars you'd painstakingly put together when the original date was announced.
