It's Empire

Kasabian chalked up their first number 1 album last Sunday, with Empire far outselling allcomers. Might even still be there this week. If not, it'll be Snow Patrol. And no-one wants that. A ton of press has run this week- the band are on the cover of the NME, the cover of Clash magazine, and have big features in Uncut and Nuts.

Best Rock

The band have been shortlisted in the Best Rock Artist category at this year's Digital Music Awards. Competition comes, in theory, from Muse, Editors, Mystery Jets and Hard-Fi. You can vote for the band, very easily.

The awards take place on October 3rd, so do the right thing between now and then (note that this is a different award to the 'People's Choice' button on the site homepage).
