With the recent fantastic epic album "Lipstick Traces" just released, some of the true concealed treasures of the Manic Street Preachers such as "R P McMurphy" have had their rarity a little negated. As a stand alone product, and as a slice of history for the hardcore fans, you can't go far wrong with the single Little Baby Nothing, drawn from the early Manics era of their Generation Terrorists days. Little Baby Nothing, perhaps the standout moment of genius from that album, is as beautiful lyrically incisive as it is melodically captivating, and an epic masterpiece from their history featuring the gorgeous tones of Traci Lords assisting James Dean Bradfield on vocals. The absence of Kylie Minogue whom the band had originally hoped would play is no great loss, if anything Traci proves more ideallly suited to the role than I would have ever thought possible.
