The second single off Generation Terrorists is one of my least favourite songs from that album, but the single gets five stars because of the storming Repeat, and the 'should have been album track' democracy coma. Love's Sweet Exile has an odd chugging rhythm, is not James' best vocal performance, and seems more repetitive and less urgent than most other album tracks. That said, there are some nice guitar moments, the video (not inclded) is great (seductive for some, revolting for others), and the lyrics are as strong as ever, speaking of exclusion, futility, of having no voice when your opinions have power, and of loyalty to the state.
