Stay Beautiful is another anthemic manics song from Generation Terrorists, and a live favourite even if it is rarely played now. A song about the anger, beauty, and purity of youth and angst, defiant and individual, packed full of famous lines like 'Don't fall in love 'cos we hate you still' which sum up the dualism of the manics. Any of these lyrics can be taken as describing the band- 'Babes on the run with poisoned lips' or their, even at this stage, devoted fans. Big guitars, melodic verses, huge chorus- it is another typical GT song. Everyone knows the 'Why don't you just-' line- make of it what you will- the fans singing along live certainly do.

RP McMurphy is a b-side favourite of mine, based on the 'fun adventures' of the main character from One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest. It is a softer song, with acoustic guitars the primary instrument.
