Brilliant title track, subdued B-sides.

The idea of covering a song entitled Suicide is Painless, is one that could only be thought up by the Manic Street Preachers. However with their usual panache, (Think Raindrops Keep Falling... Rock N Roll Music etc) they carried it off quite exquisitely. It was David Bowie that said only cover a song if you think you can add something to it. Turning a song from a muted acoustic television theme into a haunting adrenaline packed rock anthem is a tall order to the best of them.
