I don't know if the other guy was listening to the same record I have. War of the Worlds was well worth the wait. Firstly let me say I have been a My Vitriol fan since 2001 and
like 1000's of other people have been very supportive and patient
with the band and their management. That big question of 'When is
the new album going to come out?' must send MV's blood pressure
soaring.
So anyway 6 years down the line we come across the oddly titled
'Pyrrhic Victory Ep'. 4 tracks cheaply presented with a single
front inlay/sleeve. 1 'original' track (which is in fact a good few
years old and any MV fan who has the internet has probably already
heard it 100's of times) and then 1 cover which doesn't really show
off any qualities the band have, 1 reworking of a presumed new
track and 1 remix. 'War Of The Worlds' is a monster of a song which
is both huge sounding and beautiful, however.. it's nothing new for
me personally. Been there, done that. Everything else on this EP is
highly average and really doesn't push any buttons at all. Why not
put some of the other tracks on there that we have heard...
