Let There Be Love

Mediocre. Oasis used to be good too

This song is alright, but it's almost too easy to listen to. When I first heard this I thought it was a nice sort of song, but completely departs from the fantastic music on Definitely Maybe and the other Oasis classics.

I think I've pinpointed why I dislike this song. It ventures too far into the realms of pop music. This means that it is not musically adept, and manufactured to please the largest possible audience, with very melodic singing to please the mainstream listeners, but some guitar to make sure everyone knows Oasis are still rocking. However, they can't turn the guitar up too loud, or fewer mainstream-ers will enjoy the song. Hell, they even went as far as to try and convey a message, titling the song 'Let There Be Love'.

Is Oasis still messing about with the Beatles? how many years now??? give them another 10 to change direction? no wonder people like Coldplay are horribly popular? everyone has got use to the same old!! and now some bands can just churn out any old boring rubbish that growns a dead sound! because too many so called music fans have become BORING! encouraging bands to get away with lazy attempts! with no creative direction for themselves! this country needs a kick in backside! like the Punk scene with the Sex Pistols or Nirvanas explo...  Read full review »

Not As Good As The Album Version

A slight disapointment to arguably one of the best Oasis singles in recent time is the decision to cut the end of the song and somewhat ruining the aura of a brilliant song.
