Reviews

Good single, great B-side
Quote

Stop Crying Your Heart Out, the second and best single from the fifth Oasis album, Heathen Chemistry, marked something of a return to form. A heartfelt, anthemic, piano-led ballad, although not as good as Cast No Shadow, Slide Away or The Masterplan, it packed something of an emotional punch and is well worth a listen.

The first B-side is a fine, upbeat rock'n'roller, nothing to shout about but...  Read full review »

I first heard stop crying your heart out after the england-brazil game. They played it right at the end and showed some of the best england goals. With the great lyrics...  Read full review »

Stop Crying Your Heart Out is a classic. Simple as that. The track booms out and takes you back to the good old 1990's, when everything was Oasis. It's a song that will get stuck in your head...  Read full review »

If the only songs you have heard off of the upcoming album "Heathen Chemistry" are "The Hindu Times" and "Stop Crying Your Heart Out", you would think tht "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" was a brilliant choice, but having heard a cd which contains all the songs on the album (which hasn't been released yet), there are songs that would have been better to release than "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" (e.g. Little By Little, She Is Love and Force Of Nature), which are much better songs and that will be noticed by people who have heard those songs.

But that isn't to say that "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" is a bad song, there are very few bad Oasis songs and this isn't one of them. Liam's haunting vocals and Noel's lyrics are beautifully done and it's nice how the piano mostly makes up the melody of the song instead of the guitar for change.

But I still think that "The Hindu Times" was the better single from "Heathen Chemistry", as it was upbeat, punchy and it was pure rock n' roll, which is what Oasis are, and "The Hindu Times" clearly showed this.

As for the B-Sides "Thank You For The Good Times" And "Shout It Out Loud". I can honestly say that I found "Thank You For The Good Times" was decidedly average. Both Liam and the lyrics are decide...  Read full review »
